Hello! Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year.  Senior parents you can be reviewing the college(s) (*see Helpful Websites for links to colleges) of your student's choice for details regarding the requirements for admissions (GPA/ACT) and to receive a scholarship from the university.  Also, on the school's home page I have a list of various scholarships that you can look over to see if any apply to your child.  If you know where your senior is planning on going to college you can even go ahead and begin the application process now.  Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Welcome to the GHS Counselor's Website!  I hope that you will find the information provided useful.  There is so much information available now via the internet to keep students and parents up-to-date on planning for post-high school graduation.  I encourage students and parents to visit the websites of those colleges that are of interest to you.  College websites provide a wealth of information concerning the admissions process as well as scholarship information.  It is imperative that students maintain a very good GPA in order to ensure their unconditional acceptance into the college of his/her choice.   A high GPA and an excellent ACT score will allow students to be competitive for a variety of scholarships.
So...do your best, do your research, stay focused, and have a wonderful high school experience!
