My name is Allison Brown. I'm the Librarian at Glencoe Middle School. I am beginning my 18th year in education, and I love our little town of Glencoe, AL!

I have an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from Gadsden State Community College. The medical field wasn't for me so I decided to go with my true passion and become a teacher. I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  I also have a Master's Degree and Educational Specialist Degree in Library Media from Jacksonville State University. Go Gamecocks!

I began my teaching career in Gadsden City in the fall of 1999. It all started when I was given a job as a first grade classroom teacher. Over the years, I've worked in various positions such as  librarian, school improvement teacher, ARI Reading Coach, and ARI Regional Reading Coach. Each of these positions have prepared me for where I am today. I'm also the junior high cheerleader coach and yearbook sponsor at GMS. I'm blessed to be an educator in this great state of Alabama, and I look forward to working with your child this year. Go Jackets!
