Hi, students and parents! I just wanted to say a few words to you all.  I know we are all experiencing difficult times in many different ways due to Covid-19.  Students, I want you to know while we are doing the online schooling, if you need someone to talk to, please email me.  I will get in contact with you. Please try to stay positive and get creative to find ways to stay busy while maintaining social distancing.  Hopefully, completing some of the assignments your teachers are sending out will keep you busy during a part of your day ;)  Seniors, I know this is an especially hard time for you to have your senior year cut short.  I'm still hoping to be able to celebrate you all somehow, some way on down the road in the near future!  Students, just know that I love all of you!  I am here for you!  I will be sending out some information specifically to Juniors and Seniors in the next day or so.
Stay safe! Stay healthy!

Hello! Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.  Senior parents you can be reviewing the college(s) (*see Helpful Websites for links to colleges) of your student's choice for details regarding the requirements for admissions (GPA/ACT) and to receive a scholarship from the university.  Also, on the school's home page I have a list of various scholarships that you can look over to see if any apply to your child.  If you know where your senior is planning on going to college you can even go ahead and begin the application process now.  Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Welcome to the GHS Counselor's Website!  I hope that you will find the information provided useful.  There is so much information available now via the internet to keep students and parents up-to-date on planning for post-high school graduation.  I encourage students and parents to visit the websites of those colleges that are of interest to you.  College websites provide a wealth of information concerning the admissions process as well as scholarship information.  It is imperative that students maintain a very good GPA in order to ensure their unconditional acceptance into the college of his/her choice.   A high GPA and an excellent ACT score will allow students to be competitive for a variety of scholarships. your best, do your research, stay focused, and have a wonderful high school experience!
